This is what I'm doing now
I shut down my startup in October. 5 months later I’m working as a GTM consultant (Go-To-Market). But I did not expect this outcome at all.
Here’s how I got here (and got my first clients). And what exactly I am doing now 👇
My first thoughts. My original plan
After shutting down I needed some rest. Spent a few weeks disconnected in Asturias. I needed a proper reset.
Then I shared a post about why we failed. I had been sharing my learnings and failures since the beginning, so I felt I owed you an explanation.
At the same time I started talking to people: founders, GTM leads, product managers, consultants. My main question was simple: do I join a startup in a GTM role or Product?
Going independent never crossed my mind.
At Vivra I had built both (Product & GTM) from scratch:
Product: self-serve onboarding with 7-12% web-to-trial conversion. Users that genuinely loved what we built.
GTM: a micro-influencer strategy that got us to 2,500 paying users at under $4 CAC. Competitors were spending 5x to 20x more per acquisition.
While having those conversations, things started to happen. First, a former investor shared a project. Then a GTM consultant I admired invited me to work with him. Then founders I respected reached out.
One thing I’ve learned: share your work. Don’t be shy. You learn faster, and you meet great people doing similar things.
What I’m doing now
So 5 months later, this is what I’m doing:
I work directly with startups and corporates that have traction and need to turn it into consistent revenue. 3 to 6 month sprints. Fractional GTM Lead or GTM Consultant.
3 types of projects:
1️⃣ Outbound. Clarify/refine positioning, GTM strategy, pricing decisions, define the ICP, build the sequences and sales infrastructure, all-bound tactics. From zero to a repeatable pipeline with clear messaging the team can run without me.
2️⃣ Inbound. Positioning, PLG, inbound strategy, website conversion & building funnels, opening or optimizing a new channel. We build the system that turns your product into predictable inbound leads.
3️⃣ New channel or product. A PLG motion, a new acquisition bet, a new AI product, or a validation sprint in a new vertical. You validate in 2-3 months instead of 6, with clear learnings that move you forward either way.
These months I’ve been lucky to work with great founders and products. Two of them are even global leaders in their niche!
Some recent work: a chatbot for a global market leader with 95%+ precision, which will be the foundation of their AI product strategy. A B2B outbound system built from scratch, positioning and sales transformed, with metrics already accelerating. A new inbound system for a low-ticket SaaS, already bringing good results and building toward predictable, owned growth.
Never would I have imagined this path in October.
But here I am. Genuinely happy with where it went! So grateful to everyone who reached out and trusted me with their work.
